Meet Nicole.
Nicole is a natural leader with a remarkable track record of advancing mission-driven priorities and policies to foster strategic change, growth, and collaboration. With over 15 years of experience, she has successfully led and collaborated on cross-functional projects, programs, and policies that have had a tangible impact on communities and industries.
Having a background in Social Work and Community and Economic Development Planning, Nicole possesses a profound understanding of community dynamics and the interplay between people, place, and experience. Her authentic, creative, and community-minded approach has been instrumental in bringing about meaningful change in various communities and industries through a diverse portfolio of initiatives, relationships, and experiences.
Nicole is deeply committed to inclusivity and endeavors to find honest and respectful ways to amplify the voices of underrepresented communities and support their needs. Her passion for advocacy, policy, and community issues, coupled with her expertise in community based economic development with an emphasis on implementation, make her skills transferable across multiple sectors, including nonprofits and philanthropic foundations, community finance and economic development entities, tourism entities, mission-driven startups, and quasi governmental and public sector government entities.
Nicole has shared her expertise through awards, local and national conferences, articles and in the media.

Souly Austin was the recipient of a 2020 National Planning Achievement Award for Economic Development. Nicole was the creator and implementor of this program kicking off in 2015.
